Figwise
Journal-ready research figures in a minute
What it does
Most figure tools give you one blank canvas. Figwise is six focused ones. AI drafts graphical abstracts and conceptual frameworks straight from your abstract, every text label still editable. The standards-bound diagrams are generated, not drawn: PRISMA 2020 and CONSORT 2010 in official wording, volcano plots and phylogenetic trees from your own numbers — those four run entirely in your browser, free, no signup. Export vector SVG or 300 dpi PNG at Elsevier/MDPI dimensions.
Turn your research into journal-ready figures in minutes — AI drafts the figure, exact templates handle everything standards-bound. SVG and PNG export.
AI drafts your figure, exact templates handle everything standards-bound — no more half-days lost in Illustrator or PowerPoint. Pick the tool for what you need next — each one outputs a vector figure sized for journal submission. Graphical abstracts, conceptual frameworks and PRISMA diagrams across disciplines — a sense of what each tool produces. No design software required. Paste your text, review the draft, export at submission resolution. Paste an abstract, or a short description of your design, variables, or screening process. Check the structure before you commit to it — adjust your numbers or your input text and regenerate, without opening a canvas tool. Download vector SVG, or PNG…from figwise.app

- STSynthesize TikZ Graphics Programs for Scientific Figures and Sketches2024 · github.com · ▲132
Creating high-quality scientific figures can be time-consuming and challenging, even though sketching ideas on paper is relatively easy. Furthermore, recreating existing figures that are not stored in formats preserving semantic information is equally complex. To tackle this problem, we introduce DeTikZify, a novel multimodal language model that automatically synthesizes scientific figures as semantics-preserving TikZ graphics programs based on sketches and existing figures. We also introduce a Monte Carlo Tree Search-based inference algorithm that enables DeTikZify to iteratively refine its…

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…

I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
