Grafana TUI – Browse Grafana dashboards in the terminal
I built a terminal UI for browsing Grafana dashboards. It connects to any Grafana instance and lets you explore dashboards without leaving the terminal. It renders the most common panel types (time series, bar charts, gauges, heatmaps etc.). You can change the time range, set dashboard variables and filter series. I built this because I spend most of my day in the terminal and wanted a quick way to glance at dashboards without switching to the browser. It's not perfect by any means, but it's a nifty and useful tool. Built with Go, Bubble Tea, ntcharts, and Claude (of course). You can install…
In plain words
Grafana TUI is a terminal interface for browsing and interacting with Grafana dashboards without leaving the command line. It connects to any Grafana instance and renders common panel types including time series, bar charts, gauges, and heatmaps. Users can adjust time ranges, configure dashboard variables, and filter series directly in the terminal. Built with Go and Bubble Tea, it's designed for developers who spend most of their time in the terminal and need quick access to dashboard data.

I’ve been working on gotui, a modern fork of the unmaintained termui, rebuilt on top of tcell for TrueColor, mouse support, and proper resize handling. It keeps the simple termui-style API, but adds a bunch of new widgets (charts, gauges, world map, etc.), nicer visuals (collapsed borders, rounded corners), and input components for building real dashboards and tools. Under the hood the renderer’s been reworked for much better performance, and I’d love feedback on what’s missing for you to use it in production.
