What it does

gvmux wraps libghostty, Ghostty's terminal engine, in a native Mac app: a tab sidebar, split panes, and a live view of your Claude Code sessions. You keep Ghostty's rendering, fonts, themes and config. v0.1.7 · 14 MB · universal: Apple Silicon and Intel · macOS 13 or later libghostty does the terminal: GPU rendering, fonts, true color, the kitty protocols, shell integration and your ~/.config/ghostty/config . gvmux is the app around it. Colors follow your Ghostty theme, and a background a program sets on the fly. Rename tabs, color-code them, drag to reorder, and hide the sidebar with ⌃⌘S. Split in any direction with draggable dividers, zoom, equalize and directional focus. New panes open…from gvmux-384478.gitlab.io

  • Rmux – A programmable terminal multiplexer with a Playwright-style SDKMay 2026 · github.com · ▲194

Author here. RMUX started from a frustration: I've used tmux for years and got tired of scraping output with grep and sleeps to automate anything. So I rebuilt the multiplexer from scratch in Rust, with a programmable layer on top. Two surfaces: a tmux-compatible CLI (~90 commands, your keybindings just work), and a typed async Rust SDK on the same daemon — stable pane IDs, structured snapshots, locator-style waits. The idea is Playwright-style automation, but for terminals. Native on Linux, macOS, Windows (real ConPTY, no WSL). Demos and docs at rmux.io. Happy to answer questions about the…

We just open-sourced Lume - a tool we built after hitting walls with existing virtualization options on Apple Silicon. No GUI, no complex stacks - just a single binary that lets you spin up macOS or Linux VMs via CLI or API. Why we built Lume: - Run native macOS VMs in 1 command, using Apple Virtualization.Framework: `lume run macos-sequoia-vanilla:latest` - Prebuilt images on https://ghcr.io/trycua (macOS, Ubuntu on ARM) - API server to manage VMs programmatically `POST /lume/vms` - A python SDK on github.com/trycua/pylume Run prebuilt macOS images in just…

  • PrettyMuxApr 2026 · prettymux.com · ▲73

I built PrettyMux as a native Linux terminal workspace for multitask workflows and keeping track of my agents. It’s a GTK4 app built on Ghostty/libghostty, with split panes, workspaces, vertical tabs, notifications, project-aware tabs (shows favicons/logo automatically), and an in-app browser so terminals and docs/tools can live side by side. I started it because I wanted something tmux-like for modern GUI workflows on Linux, but native and not Electron, there is cmux but only available on macos (prettymux compiles on windows and macos too but not tested for now there) It’s…

Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…
