I built a climbing-based VR puzzle game
In each level, the goal is to climb to the top of the wall. Each wall has a unique layout of handholds, magnets, hooks, and elevators, and only one path to the top. The challenge is finding the right combination of moves to get you there. After each unsuccessful attempt, you can view the entire wall from afar to plan your route and strategize before trying again. I built a climbing-based VR puzzle game launched on July 15, 2024 with 6 votes, #2,100 of 5,184 launches that month and more than 50% of that year's launches. The site was still online in September 2026, 2 years on.
What it does
Solve the Wall combines climbing and puzzle solving in virtual reality. Each wall has a unique layout of handholds, magnets, hooks, and elevators, with only ONE PATH to the top. There are many dead ends where you’ll have no choice but to let go of the wall and restart the level. The goal is to find the right combination of moves that will get you to the top and solve the wall.

Many years ago, I made VJ softwares (to mix live visuals in clubs) for unexpected platforms like the Game Boy Advance, the Playstation 2 and the Raspberry Pi.
