I made a looper for YouTube clips
Initially, I was interested in using YouTube videos to learn languages using the simple shadowing technique. It sounds fancy, but it's simply listening and repeating. However, I found it pretty inconvenient to use the vanilla YouTube player to replay video parts. Especially when I needed to do it several times. Later I figured out that it's pretty handy to also practice instruments, given how much material is in there. Not just for mimicking songs but also for better following tutorials. So the idea is simple, you can save clips you want to practice to loop as many times as you want and come…
I made a looper for YouTube clips launched on July 6, 2024 with 8 votes, #1,699 of 5,184 launches that month and more than 75% of that year's launches. The site was still online in September 2026, 2 years on.
What it does
Free YouTube looper and repeat tool. Loop and repeat specific sections of any YouTube video seamlessly. Create custom clips for music practice, language learning, and studying. No registration required.
🎯 Mark & Loop v3.2 — a live playhead and exact in/out times on the loop slider, plus snap loop points to the spot you're hearing with the I/O keys. Add LoopingTube to your home screen for an app-like practice session. Loop the section. Slow the speed. Set the count. Practice the bar that won't stick — eight times, then sixteen, then forever — until your hands learn it before your head does. YouTube was built to keep you watching. Practice is the opposite — you want to stay on the same eight bars until they're yours. LoopingTube is the surface in between. “Best site to practice guitar. I love the complete control of the looping settings.” “The best way to learn music fast, I will never not…from loopingtube.com

Anki/Duolingo-like app using educational YouTube videos2024 · platoedu.org · ▲289Hi HN, I watch A LOT of educational YouTube videos but wasn't forgetting a good chunk of the details because I was only really passively watching. So I made a tool that generates quiz questions/flashcards from YouTube videos, and uses spaced repetition like Anki or Duolingo to keep it in memory. Let me know if you find it cool/useful (or terrible ) or if you want to know a bit about the details!
I made a website that converts YT videos into step-by-step guides2024 · stepify.tech · ▲271Hey HN, I've been working on this side project for the past month. It generates a step-by-step tutorial guide for YouTube videos that you can follow along without watching long videos. Best suited for tutorial videos but can work for other videos aswell. No BS. Just straight to the point. The guides are generated from pure transcript so you don't have to worry about it being AI. It's my first project as a total beginner. Something I had to do inorder to get out of tutorial hell. Please let me know if you have any suggestions or if you face any problems or bugs. I would try to fix them to the…

Hi! I'm living as an expat in France and I had a hard time following the news. So I've been working on Fluentsubs that turns YouTube content into a language learning experience. YouTube videos up to 20 minutes can be transcribed and listened to. At the same time I made it easy to lookup certain words and automatically add spaced repetition cards using the given context. This means that you can also rehearse with a real voice and not with AI dubs. This works especially well for the somewhat smaller languages that have a small track on Duolingo, and now are desperately looking for content…

Many years ago, I made VJ softwares (to mix live visuals in clubs) for unexpected platforms like the Game Boy Advance, the Playstation 2 and the Raspberry Pi. This year, I’m back with a new web-app: Pikimov. Inspired by Photopea (a free Photoshop clone), I created this web-based motion design & video editor as an alternative to After Effects, to fill empty void. It's free, without signup, without cloud uploads (your files stay on your machine), and your projects are not used for AI models training.
