IdeaCouncil

I am working on this because I am always afraid of building things that people don't actually want. I let agents role-play analysis the idea, quote and debate with each other. Still working on the output quality, every feedback is priceless. Pls try it out!

IdeaCouncil launched on January 26, 2026 with 7 votes, #1,609 of 14,584 launches that month and more than 90% of that year's launches. The site was not reachable when checked in September 2026.

What it does

IdeaCouncil - AI Agents role-play and debate to provide an unbiased stress-test for your startup ideas. For less than $1, save yourself two months of wasted dev time. While no one can guarantee success, we use logic and reasoning to filter out non-starters and identify the highest-potential idea in your backlog.

Appaca is my third pivot. A couple of years ago, I started working on an idea on no-code platform that generates code. The goal is to help devs and agencies ship products faster for their clients. I went through Antler startup accelerator and got initial funding. I was working on the right problem, but wrong solution. Instead of no-code, I should have jumped into LLM a lot earlier. I felt defeated when Lovable, Base44, and Bolt came out strong, showing the world what LLMs can do in software development. No one cared about my product anymore. I pivoted my startup second time after that, to an…

    I Built a Paul Graham AI Advisor for Founders and Hackers2025 · paulgraham.resurrect.space · ▲21

Hey, just wanted to share with you guys and app that I built and deployed in a day with Lovable. So, as a founder I always wanted to have an advisor but my budget would always be less, then on the other hand hand I had Paul's essays on Startup Advice, which I never read because I was busy building stuff. Hence, I built this product which comes into a sweet spot of both at the same time being more reasonable and capable than the alternative. ps: it's running on a reasoning model and tbh I've been able to gather pretty good insights from it. Note to PG: If you're seeing this. I'm your big fan.…

AI is in a weird place right now. Technical people marvel over it while non-technical people don't really care. So we built Co-Op, an app specifically designed for non-technical people to run AI agents without needing a Mac Mini or laptop running 24/7. Your agents run throughout the day and complete real work across your most important apps, no code required. For me, this looks like a daily notification with my unread emails across Outlook, Gmail, and any other inbox, the weather, commute time, flight prices I'm monitoring, and the news. But it goes way beyond that. Our agents can build…

Howdy friends. I've been a zero to one product manager for 12 plus years and along the way I kept borrowing pieces from different discovery frameworks until I had a methodology of my own, one that actually raises the odds of an idea succeeding. This does not replace user interviews obviously, but it leads you in the right direction. Looking forward for your feedback

Hey HN, I’m 14 and I’ve been obsessed with startups for a while. I noticed one big problem: most of us (especially first-time founders) waste months building something that nobody wants. So I built Startup Solve — an AI-powered platform that helps you stress-test your startup ideas before you write a single line of code. It includes six tools: ~ AI Co-Founder → brainstorms with you like a smart partner. ~ Startup Oracle → pressure-tests your idea and asks the brutal questions VCs would. ~ Funding Predictor → gives an estimate of whether your idea could raise funding. ~ Idea Incubator → helps…

  • Think, CL tool that makes AI your command line copilot (written in Go)2023 · github.com · ▲14

Hi HN, I'm thrilled to share with you think, a command-line tool that I developed while diving back into the programming scene. For the past few years, my focus had shifted from hands-on programming to managerial roles, my last one being at Affirm (I started Affirm's Polish office). However, I recently left my job to revisit my passion for coding and see if I could still write code that works. Not to mention that with what is currently going on in AI if you are a developer this probably the best possible time for a sabbatical in human history :) My first attempt was with LangChain, but I…

Hey HN! I wanted to share something I built over the last few weeks: isometric.nyc is a massive isometric pixel art map of NYC, built with nano banana and coding agents. I didn't write a single line of code. Of course no-code doesn't mean no-engineering. This project took a lot more manual labor than I'd hoped! I wrote a deep dive on the workflow and some thoughts about the future of AI coding and creativity: http://cannoneyed.com/projects/isometric-nyc
