What it does
LumoTray is now available for macOS desktops. All existing windows features are implemented, although with limited testing so it's still marked as a beta. Thanks for trying and any feedback!
An Apple silicon menu-bar app for independent wallpapers, screensavers, post-login Lock Screen images, hot corners, and a custom menu.
A native menu-bar utility for people who want every display to have its own purpose—built to feel at home on macOS. Open your shortcuts in place, or step into the full app when you want to change what each monitor is doing. Choose how LumoTray responds to left, double, and middle clicks. Each click can have its own supported action. Use a center click or three-finger click or tap on a detected Magic Mouse as a middle click, then assign it like any other icon click. This middle click works system-wide, not only in LumoTray. Use it anywhere an app supports middle click, such as opening links in new browser tabs or closing tabs. Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
