Make your game multiplayer in one prompt

Hey HN, We started out building a whole game-making platform: engine, editor, templates, the lot. It was a slog, and it kept fighting the thing that made it interesting: the models got good. With Opus 5, Fable 5, SOL 5.6, a one-prompt Three.js or Canvas game already looks genuinely great, and the models know those APIs far better than they'd ever know our harness. Forcing people through our engine meant limiting them to it, while solving the part AI solved better than us trying to buold the harness The part it can't solve is multiplayer. A generated game is usually a single HTML file; making…

Play free multiplayer browser games with friends in one click, with no download or account. Or make your own with AI using Claude Code, Codex or Cursor: antics adds rooms, live sync and leaderboards, then hosts it at a link.

Fun games you've never heard of, new ones every day. 2mn to learn, and the group chat is yelling by round three. Say the idea out loud, an AI writes every line — that's vibecoding vibecoding, noun Describing the thing you want in plain English while an AI writes every line of code. If you can send a text message, you can do it. . Describe your game, play it with friends minutes later. Every game runs two ways: jump into the open world and get matched with strangers, or open a friend room and send the link to your group chat. Two links, both made for you automatically. One to meet strangers, one for the group chat. Its permanent URL, where everyone plays together and one global leaderboard…from antics.gg

    A friend and I spent 6 years making a simulation game, finally released2022 · ▲1,157

I've seen some interests in (simulation) video games here on HN so I thought I'd share a short version of our story. More than 6 years ago, me and my friend from university were playing around with an idea of making a game we always wanted to play. We worked on it on weekends but the progress was quite slow, especially due to so many dead ends and wasted effort. Eventually however, we solidified our direction and decided to take the risk to resign from our well paid SWE jobs and work on it full time. It took more than a year but yesterday we have finally released it on Steam:…

Hi HN community! We want to share AI-town, a deployable starter kit for building and customizing your own version of AI simulation - a virtual town where AI characters live, chat and socialize. A few features: - Includes a convex.dev backed server-side game engine that handles global state - Multiplayer ready. Deployment ready - 100% Typescript - Easily customizable. You can fork it, change character memories, add new sprites/tiles and you have a custom AI simulation…

    made a html5 game, polished it many many times2011 · hotbazooka.com · ▲211

hi all, I've always wanted to make my own game, but couldn't afford a thousand-dollar adobe (flash+photoshop) license. I'm not a talented programmer, have no degree in CS. But I understand some elements of design. So I got me a copy of ImpactJS, and after about 5 months of steep learning curve (at least for me), I managed to come up with a game. I also integrated it with a highscore and badge system, similar to what you get at Kongregate. You need to login with Google/OpenID to earn badges/scores. link is: http://www.hotbazooka.com/privatejoe hope to hear some feedback/questions from you guys!

Dear Hacker News, I'm kindly asking for your participation in the open beta for my AI-managed mini-games website. Thank you in advance! For a limited time window, I'm setting the all-free feature flag to true. I hope you have a lot of fun exploring the AI's sense for games! Here and there, I tweaked it to help with visual consistency. I would be deeply grateful if you opted into analytics. $2,300 in API tokens... Cheers!

  • Today, I’m proud to announce Homebrew 6.0.0. The most significant changes since 5.1.0 are a new tap trust security mechanism, the new faster, smaller, default internal Homebrew JSON API, sandboxing on Linux, better defaults informed by our user survey, many brew bundle improvements, improved performance and initial support for macOS 27 (Golden Gate). Happy to discuss any questions here!
