Miteiru, a Japanese Immersion ElectronJS Video Player
Hi people! It's been about 9 months and I think it's ready for people to try this. This is a Japanese learning desktop video player that is cross-platform, easy to setup, and open source. In plain words
Miteiru is a cross-platform, open-source desktop video player designed for Japanese language learning. It integrates with OpenAI's Whisper for transcription and subtitle generation. The application is easy to set up and runs on multiple operating systems. The developer plans to expand support to include all CJK (Chinese, Japanese, Korean) languages. The source code is available on GitHub.
