OpsHome NOC

iPhone monitoring for homelab and private infrastructure

What it does

OpsHome NOC is a native iPhone monitoring app for homelab and private infrastructure. Monitor Docker, Proxmox, VMware, Synology NAS, Linux hosts, websites and private services — with cloud checks and an optional lightweight Docker Probe.

OpsHome NOC is a mobile NOC for private infrastructure monitoring across Docker, Proxmox, VMware, Synology, Linux, public services, SSL, domains, and private assets.

Monitor public services, private assets, containers, virtual machines, and infrastructure health from your iPhone. Monitor websites, APIs, SSL, domains, and private infrastructure from one operational view. Docker Probe creates outbound-only connections, allowing private environments to stay private without inbound exposure. Combine health status, events, history, and alerts to understand what changed and why. Deploy Docker Probe on a host that can reach the services you authorize. The Probe connects to OpsHome Cloud over outbound HTTPS, so private networks can remain private while OpsHome shows service status, assets, and infrastructure health. Go beyond uptime checks. WebRTC LAN Baby Monitor for iOS and iPadOSSep 2025 · apps.apple.com · ▲53

Hey all, Just wanted to show off this app I built, its a LAN based WebRTC baby monitor that connects any apple devices together over WIFI so you can turn an old iPad or iPhone into a baby monitor! I got a bit sick of all the sketchy products that require you to buy another device and may or may not connect to Chinese servers and store all your information somewhere. So I figured what if there were no servers and we could just use our existing devices! I would love any feedback! You will need two apple devices to test it, but simulators do work.

    Beacon CLI for self-hosted monitoring, remote access and deploymentsMay 2026 · github.com · ▲7

I've been building a cli for my homelab/self-hosted setup. The original motivation was getting tired of stitching together deployments, monitoring, remote SSH access and random scripts. It’s a open source CLI, all-in-one tool for monitoring, secure remote accces (tunnel and terminal), log forwarding, automated deployments. No exposed ports, or endpoint, everything is configurable how the user wants it. One use case that multiple friends are interested in is replacing HomeAssistant’s Nabu Casa subscription with tunneling through BeaconInfra. The cloud/control-plane part…

Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…

  • I trained a 125M-parameter transformer to autocomplete piano performances in real time (~108 notes/sec on an iPhone 15). The idea is basically GitHub Copilot or Tabnine, except instead of prompting it with code, you prompt it by playing a few notes on a MIDI piano. The model then continues what you played, entirely on-device. The app is free if anyone wants to try it. Happy to answer questions about the model, training, Core ML, or the many things that didn't work.
