In plain words
Prisma Postgres is a serverless database designed for developers using the Prisma ORM. It features unikernel technology to eliminate cold starts and operates on a pay-as-you-go pricing model with a free tier. The database is built with tight integration into Prisma's ORM to streamline the development experience for applications that need to prototype, launch, and scale efficiently.

Prisma Postgres is a game-changing new serverless DB — tightly integrated to the Prisma ORM for amazing DX, and built with unique unikernel tech to eliminate cold starts. Start for free, only pay for what you use — prototype, launch, and scale with Prisma.
Prisma gives TypeScript and Node.js teams Prisma ORM, Prisma Postgres, and Prisma Compute: a type-safe ORM, managed Postgres, and Compute for deploying TypeScript apps, from schema to deployed app.
Give your coding agent a type-safe ORM, managed Postgres, and app hosting that work together natively. One shared context across your stack is all your agent needs to build, deploy, and iterate without coordinating between vendors. Write your data model once in contract.prisma , or have your agent write it for you. It's the shared contract your ORM, migrations, and data layer are all built around. Add Prisma Postgres and Compute when you're ready to ship. Your app and database deploy together on the same host, co-located by default. Your agent reads logs, fixes what broke, and redeploys through one CLI. The loop runs for as long as you need it to. ORM, database, and hosting designed to work…from prisma.io

Talanoa▲340Hi HN, I’m a fullstack developer, and honestly, I’ve lost count of how many side projects I’ve worked on over the years. But one idea kept coming back to me: a different kind of email client. It first came to me in 2014: “What if we could handle emails more like conversations?” Every year, I’d revisit this concept in my “Build Notes.” Ten years later, no one had built exactly what I had in mind — so I finally decided to do it myself. That’s how Talanoa was born. I wanted something focused on people, not timelines. I was tired of marking messages as unread just to remember to reply later, or…

I was at FB/Meta from late 2013 to early 2023, mostly working in the compiler/runtime spaces. I got hit in the spring 2023 layoff wave. I immediately started making games in my newfound free time (a lifelong interest, and I even worked in AA(A?) back ca. ~2000), and in October 2023 I stumbled upon the idea of a roguelike pachinko/plinko game inspired by Luck Be A Landlord. Things snowballed quickly, I started talking to publishers, then worked like crazy through all of 2024, almost the hardest I've ever worked in my career, and launched the game in December 2024. It's sold…

i wanted to change the habit of reaching for my phone in the morning and doomscrolling away an hour so i built an app to help me. now i have to literally touch grass before accessing my most distracting apps the app is built in swiftui, uses the screen time apis provided by apple and google vision to recognise grass or not i'd love to get your thoughts on the concept.
