- SMStratusGFX, my open-source real-time 3D rendering engine2023 · github.com · ▲483
It's been closed source for a long time while I worked on it on and off as a hobby research project, but yesterday the repo was made public for the first time under the MPL 2.0 license. A feature reel showing its capabilities can be found here: https://ktstephano.github.io/rendering/stratusgfx/feature_re... A technical breakdown of a single frame can be found here: https://ktstephano.github.io/rendering/stratusgfx/frame_anal... It's still in a very beta state (bugs and instability expected), but I felt like it was a good time to make it…
- APA PSX/DOS style 3D game written in Rust with a custom software rendererSep 2025 · totenarctanz.itch.io · ▲57
So, after years of abandoning Rust after the hello world stage, I finally decided to do something substantial. It started with simple line rendering, but I liked how it was progressing so I figured I could make a reasonably complete PSX style renderer and a game with it. My only dependency is SDL2; I treat it as my "platform", so it handles windowing, input and audio. This means my Cargo.toml is as simple as: [dependencies.sdl2] version = "0.35" default-features = false features = ["mixer"] this pulls around 6-7 other dependencies. I am doing actual true color 3D rendering (with Z buffer,…

I've made a website to easily share a LaTeX math formula. - The image is created in the browser (i.e. the LaTeX is not send to a server for rendering) - Native share dialog (share via WhatsApp etc.) - Extra keyboard buttons for symbols like "$" or "\" on mobile - Share via png or unicode Demo video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/fGuTns5Nt9Q Please let me know any feedback on how to improve the website.
- TATylax – A bidirectional LaTeX to Typst converter in RustJan 2026 · github.com · ▲27
Hi HN, author here. I built Tylax because I wanted to migrate my old LaTeX papers to Typst but found existing regex-based scripts too fragile for nested environments. Tylax parses LaTeX into an AST (using mitex-parser) and converts it to Typst code. It supports: - Full document structure (not just math snippets) - Complex math (matrices, integrals) - Experimental TikZ -> CeTZ graphics conversion - Runs in browser via WASM Repo: https://github.com/scipenai/tylax Web Demo: https://convert.silkyai.cn/ Happy to answer any questions!

With social media and now AI, its important to keep the indie web alive. There are many people who write frequently. Blogosphere tries to highlight them by fetching the recent posts from personal blogs across many categories. There are two versions: Minimal (HN-inspired, fast, static): https://text.blogosphere.app/ Non-minimal: https://blogosphere.app/ If you don't find your blog (or your favorite ones), please add them. I will review and approve it.
