Algorithmic Organic Chemistry Reaction Prediction

RxNify launched on August 19, 2026 with 2 votes, #5,788 of 23,274 launches that month.

What it does

OCRXN is a free, web-based organic chemistry reaction predictor and simulator. Built for students, educators, and researchers, it allows users to input reactants, test reagents, and predict major reaction outcomes in real time. Powered by a flexible rule-based engine, OCRXN lets users toggle pre-built reaction sets or upload custom JSON dictionaries to test custom mechanisms—all without paywalls, sign-ups, or software downloads.

Precursor tree from the active dictionaries. Expand nodes to see the next step; click "Load" to draw a precursor. Draw a starting molecule in Ketcher and click "Map" to see all possible 1-step transformations. Your saved predictions. Load one back into Ketcher or re-run it. Draw a peptide or nucleotide in Ketcher's polymer editor, or type a 1-letter sequence below. Select a probing mode to analyze the molecule's reactivefrom rxnify.vercel.app

Creating high-quality scientific figures can be time-consuming and challenging, even though sketching ideas on paper is relatively easy. Furthermore, recreating existing figures that are not stored in formats preserving semantic information is equally complex. To tackle this problem, we introduce DeTikZify, a novel multimodal language model that automatically synthesizes scientific figures as semantics-preserving TikZ graphics programs based on sketches and existing figures. We also introduce a Monte Carlo Tree Search-based inference algorithm that enables DeTikZify to iteratively refine its…

  • Hey HN, We recently built Clipto. It’s a tool that lets you search over terabytes of video, audio, and images on your computer, without relying on the cloud. Motivation: we probably all had this similar experience, we know a moment exists in a video or audio, but finding it takes hours scrubbing the timeline. You can send all the media to process in the cloud, but it’s slow, expensive and raises privacy concerns. So we decided to build our own on-device media search engine. How it works (high level): 1. We ingest video, audio, image; normalize formats via ffmpeg; run content analysis to…

  • Hello HN! I found that picking out plausible but diverse skin tones for my digital art and game development projects was kind of difficult, and I got curious about if there was a way to define a color space that made it easy. I've built a color picker and procedural generation algorithm based on the space as well as a bunch of other fun js features and demos throughout the page that use the equations. If you find it interesting, I have lots of explanations of how I built it and what properties the space has. The methodology might be a bit shaky, but hopefully the result is as helpful for…
