Shindo Endurance Training

Your first triathlon, on the watch you already own

What it does

Getting into triathlon usually starts with a purchase — a thousand-dollar watch arrives before the first swim lesson does. Shindo takes the other side. Apple Health is the only way data gets in, so any watch that already records sleep, heart rate and workouts is enough. Swim, bike, run, brick and strength, with a race goal that works back from your start date. The plan is adaptive, not a calendar: miss a session or swap a run for a ride, and the week re-flows from where you are.

Shindo is a triathlon coach for iPhone that runs on the watch you already own — and rebuilds your week when you miss a session instead of turning it red.

Swim, bike and run on the watch you already own. Shindo reads whatever it writes to Apple Health and builds a week around what your body actually absorbed — then rebuilds it when you miss a session. Requires iOS 26.4 · iPhone · Works with any watch that writes to Apple Health Not doing a triathlon? Running, cycling and swimming work on their own — the same plan, the same rebuild, one discipline instead of three. Every number you see in Shindo comes from a deterministic algorithm running on your iPhone — the same input always produces the same answer. The model receives finished numbers and writes about them, and where its wording disagrees with a computed value, the computed value wins.…from shindo-app.com

 • Hi HN, I built Eigendrum, a web tool that solves the 2D wave equation for arbitrary shapes so you can hear what they sound like as drums. How it works: * Solves -∇²u = λu using finite element analysis (Kφ = λMφ) on a triangle mesh. * Validated to <0.1% error against closed-form solutions for circles (Bessel zeros) and rectangles. * Sound model factors in strike location, Rayleigh damping, and mallet width. * Includes Kac drums I & II to demonstrate identical sound spectra from different geometries. * No frameworks, build steps, or dependencies. Repo and tests:…

 • I made OwnTime to balance between competing priorities in my life. The idea is based on two main influences: the concept of "roles" from "The 5 Choices" (2015), and my repeated failure to effectively implement time blocking due to the necessary flexibility in my role. The app allows you to define time budgets, which are not much more than a few mutually exclusive countdown timers. The UX is essentially that of a chess clock for an arbitrary number of players with configurable time. The whole point of the app is to kick you out of the running role/priority when its time is up. One…
