In plain words
TreeOS is a minimalist 16-bit bootsector program that displays a Christmas tree animation. Created as a holiday demo and released on GitHub, it runs entirely within the boot sector of a computer, making it a technical curiosity for those interested in low-level programming and retro computing. The project serves as both a festive novelty and an educational example of what can be accomplished with extremely limited code space.

MyraOS – My 32-bit operating system in C and ASM (Hack Club project)Oct 2025 · github.com · ▲247Hi HN, I’m Dvir, a young developer. Last year, I got rejected after a job interview because I lacked some CPU knowledge. After that, I decided to deepen my understanding in the low level world and learn how things work under the hood. I decided to try and create an OS in C and ASM as a way to broaden my knowledge in this area. This took me on the most interesting ride, where I’ve learned about OS theory and low level programming on a whole new level. I’ve spent hours upon hours, blood and tears, reading different OS theory blogs, learning low level concepts, debugging, testing and working on…

It's been a long slow hog and I almost gave up a few times (more than a few) but when covid hit this year it gave me some time to really focus on my product. There were stupid user journey things that I knew needed fixed. There were some features I knew needed added. And I knew the pricing was wrong. I spent some hardcore time working on these things back in March / April and since then my MRR has continued to grow. My product is SongBox (https://songbox.rocks) - it's an alternative to things like bandcamp and soundcloud for creators who need to share audio files privately.…
