Hello, this was a funny idea I had. I knew that you could do crazy things with fonts (like play a video game in one: https://www.coderelay.io/fontemon.html) but with ligatures, I was thinking about how much could you actually push them? I decided to try making a font that literally translates Chinese characters (with some context-aware rules/replacements for common phrases). Turns out, this experiment took only several minutes to make with Claude Code and works surprisingly well!

I like making small fonts for Arduino and ESP32 projects with those little SSD1306 OLED screens. So I made this browser-based tool to help design pixel art fonts for use in those embedded projects. It has a preview area that updates when you save your character. It can support fixed-width and variable-width fonts. And when you're done you can export the font in a few different formats. Just for fun, I built a language learning tool. It represents Chinese and Japanese as graphs of characters, with connections indicating given characters can form a word. It can also decompose characters to give clues on how they're pronounced, analyzes words to understand which ones are commonly used together, and more. It's fully interactive, supports offline use, generates flashcards, has sentences from humans and from AI, and plenty of other features. Saw the remotion claude skills launch earlier, and honestly even though I was surprised how decent some of the results turned out to be I ended up never trying it out with claude code because I knew I'd have to setup remotion, bundler etc and if I was already doing it once I thought I might as well turn it into a site where anyone could just write messages and get a video without any prerequisites. Declaude▲7I had to develop a course related to quantum chemistry and unfortunately, Claude just kept writing it in its own very annoying claude-speak.
