Hey HN! I made this app because I bite my nails way too much while I code It uses Mac's Vision library to track the location of your hands and mouth via the webcam. Then when it catches you biting, it temporarily covers your screen with a big obnoxious warning. You have to stop biting if you want to continue seeing anything. It's helped me a lot, so I hope it can help other nail-biters here :)

I'm an "ideas person" who messes around with AI on a low budget. I got tired of watching my tokens vanish and context windows filling up while agents fumbled around trying to find the right thing. Agents don't flail like they used to with shell tools, but there are still weak/blind spots and back-and-forth episodes — especially when using tools in combination/sequence. I built this game to test out the MediaPipe hand-tracking API. Play brick breaker using your webcam + hand movement -- levels get progressively harder with faster speed / smaller paddle. All processing is done in real-time within your browser. This project is built using javascript, html canvas, and mediapipe hand tracking. Hi HN! I run a few Claude Code sessions in parallel and kept cmd-tabbing around just to find out one of them had been sitting on a permission prompt for ten minutes. There's a hardware gadget I liked (called SidePulse.io) so before waiting to get my shipment I built the software version instead :D I hope you like it and find it useful as I do!
