Hey HN, We’re two developers (co-founders) with a team of 20 who got tired of spending hours reviewing PRs, so we built Infinitcode.ai, an AI-powered code reviewer that: - *Summarizes PRs in plain English*: No more deciphering 1,000-line diff jungles - *Catches more than bugs*: Security holes, performance pitfalls, code smells, even typos (yes, we’ll flag “vurnerabilities” and vulnerabilities) - *Zero onboarding*: Works instantly—no “let me learn your codebase for weeks” nonsense. Why we’re posting: We’re in alpha and need brutal honesty. Roast our tool, mock our UI, or tell us why AI will…

I've been exploring the (not so=) amazing potential of AI in coding and have compiled a list of tools. From AI-powered IDEs to code generators, this resource is my contribution to the community. I'm still on the fence about including txt2sql projects, as their functionality seems too basic to me. And I'm personally maintaining this, so your feedback is wellcome.

Hey HN, we're developing Burr (github.com/dagworks-inc/burr), an open-source python framework that makes it easier to build and debug GenAI applications. Burr is a lightweight library that can integrate with your favorite tools and comes with a debugging UI. If you prefer a video introduction, you can watch me build a chatbot here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rEZ4oDN0GdU. Common friction points we’ve seen with GenAI applications include logically modeling application flow, debugging and recreating error cases, and curating data for testing/evaluation (see…

Hi Hacker News! We launched an autonomous agent that helps debug production issues, and we’re curious to get your feedback. Today's GenAI devtools, such as Copilot, are limited: they are great for writing code, but we all know that programming is only 20% coding, and 80% debugging. So how can GenAI be used for debugging? As opposed to code completion or test automation, production debugging is not about generating text. Debugging is mostly about root-cause analysis. We realized two things: 1) Generative AI is drastically changing the way we work with data, thanks to its ability to not only…

I'm an "ideas person" who messes around with AI on a low budget. I got tired of watching my tokens vanish and context windows filling up while agents fumbled around trying to find the right thing. Agents don't flail like they used to with shell tools, but there are still weak/blind spots and back-and-forth episodes — especially when using tools in combination/sequence. So I built "tilth" today. Or rather, AI built it — every line is Opus 4.6. I spent a lot of my precious tokens getting it to "not shit" (at least several of the different vendors' AI overlords assure me it's not…

Hi HN! I’m Ivan, one of the founders of Sourcewizard. It’s a CLI tool that works with AI coding agents (like Cursor and Claude) to install and set up SDKs correctly including middleware, pages, env vars, everything. Similar to the PostHog Install AI Wizard: https://posthog.com/docs/ai-engineering/ai-wizard But for more packages. Run this to try it: npx ai-setup clerk We built it after watching agents fail basic installs. Wrong packages, deprecated methods, half-finished setups. Sourcewizard uses package-specific prompts that complete clean installs ~90% of the time…

I participated in the Nvidia + Vercel 2 hour hackathon in SF tonight, and built something I've wanted, but hadn't tried building. I implemented an MCP Server and VS Code extension to allow Claude Desktop to place breakpoints, step through code, and execute expressions (assuming language support). So you can ask it a question that requires actually stepping through the code and now it can actually do that - check values for you, etc. It's _definitely_ not perfect. Have improvements? Please make a PR!
