Quizlet, a popular tool among high schoolers and college students used to study for tests recently made it's core functionality paid. In an era where Autodesk, Adobe, and Microsoft hold their proprietary software to their chests, it's exciting to see opensource alternatives come to compete with them. Cut to the chase: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4nyzl3pVXp4 I really am a big supporter of quality education being available for everyone, and because of that I've opted to open source my CS education on YouTube. I'm starting with Rails, and I will eventually work around to more core CS topics like circuits -> logic gates -> binary -> assembly -> c -> Data Structures -> Algorithms etc. If you like it subscribe and I'm looking for all the feedback I can get on how to make it better :)

I don't know about you but I have already personally paid for online courses at more than €600 to become a better freelancer and I ended up hearing from one of the biggest creators of French-speaking online courses that in reality all the information sold in the online courses are available on the Internet. It's just that it would take a long time to find them all whereas by buying an online course all the information is gathered for you and you don't have to search so yes this information are technically free but by paying for the online course you especially save time. As hard as I tried, I didn't find a modern language learning book that's either very academic, or like "master a language with my super-magic great method in 3 months". So I dug into the academic research, tried many techniques myself, saw what worked, wrote a book for learners of any language and any level, and made it free without ads. I saw this app youlearn.ai on YC and thought of building it. They are claiming to have 1M+ users with just one feature which is to convert your learning material into summaries, quizzes etc. I gave this a shot and cloned almost most of the features in just 9+ hours of continous vibe coding (with 20% manual though). Now I'm selling this on mvp marketplace. Might probably open source it in future or give it free.
