Products that do what I vibe coded a free typing game for my kids does

My kids are surprisingly keen to learn to type, and I couldn't find any thing out there which was A) Free without adverts B) Worked well on mobile/tablets C) Was clutter free and easy to use I wondered how easily I could vibe code a solution. Here's the result. Everything here was "vibe coded" to an extent, the graphics, sounds, art-work, even the github pipelines ( and I used chatgpt to instruct me how to configure everything in AWS ) I'm particularly pleased with the phoneme game, https://free-kids-typing-games.com/games/phoneme-sound-lab/ which was crafted…

Hi! I took a cheap $25 walmart phone and put a static server on it? Why? Just for a fun weekend project. I used Claude Code for most of the setup. I had a blast. It's running termux, andronix, nginx, cloudflared and even a prometheus node exporter. Here's the site: https://walmartphone.stetsonblake.com/

Hey everyone! Long time lurker, first time poster. I've just reached beta in my game BoxByte Lyte. -What is it- It's a free 3d arcade game for hardcore players that uses color matching in interesting ways. Also it's a one button game, well movement and one button. Cool huh? The final release will be free too. -What I need- This is a very challenging game, so I really need to balance the difficulty so that it's still hard but not impossible. It would be great just to hear your experiences of the game and how far in it you got. -Where can I report bugs?-…

Hi everyone, I just saw a vibe coded game on HN, and thought maybe I should post about this here. I'm organizing a vibe coding game dev competition called Vibe Jam. Last year we did it too and there was 1000+ games submitted. This year the deadline is May 1 and you can submit your games until then. There's $35,000 in prizes with the Gold prize being $20,000. Let me know what you think! -Pieter

I've been using Cursor, Co-Pilot, ChatGPT, Claude and what not since quite some time now, and we are at a stage where we can just "vibe code" whole apps from idea to execution in a few prompts. I tried this personally to create some side projects that solved little problems for me. But I always got stuck at a point where it just goes into an infinite loop of issues and can't solve the issue by itself. Well I'm a developer, so it's easier for me to dive into the code and solve the problem myself, but that would take a hell lot of time to understand all the code AI wrote for me. If I keep…

I built Vibe Remote because I wanted to code from my bed or the park without lugging a laptop around. With tools like Claude Code, Codex, and Gemini-cli, we don't need a full IDE for every task anymore. Vibe Remote turns your phone into a powerful remote console. Why it’s more than just a chat: * AI Agent Hub: Zero-config support for Claude Code, Codex, and OpenCode. * Built-in Web Preview: View your localhost services directly inside the app. Essential for UI debugging. * Full Session Management: Start a task on your Mac, grab your phone, and monitor progress from a cafe. * Dev Ops: Manage…

It took me about a week to vibe code this 3D game engine with Opus 4.6 that I intend to use as a replacement for Three.js and React Three Fiber in my browser MMORPG, Mana Blade. I was not expecting to be able to reach that point so easily, but pretty much every feature took somewhere between 30 minutes and 1 hour - 1 to 3 prompts on average. It is vibe-coded in the sense that I haven't looked at the code, but I am very careful with my prompts and constantly have Claude reviewing the codebase, looking for performance and code quality improvements. It can reach 2000 draw calls on recent…

I'm calling this "Vibe Discovery" — distinct from vibe coding because I didn't know the requirements upfront. Started with "make something with the accelerometer" and discovered through 6 iterations that I wanted a WebGL marble game. The interesting part was the dev setup: Claude Code running in Termux on a Redmi Note 9 (4GB RAM). The same-device feedback loop — code, test accelerometer, react, iterate — made rapid discovery possible in a way that laptop-to-phone deployment wouldn't.

Hey HN, my name is Sam. My buddy Danny and I (and our good friend Claude) have been making this fun app to make and share vibe games. You just describe whatever game pops into your deranged little mind, and BLAMO! there it is, playable on your phone in under 30 seconds. Super Mario Breakout? BLAMO! https://www.blamo.ai/vibes/7350a500-09bb-4ed9-866d-001006f6f... Text Adventure PacMan? BLAMO! https://www.blamo.ai/vibes/781cdd12-bc00-4f1a-8c6c-9726e143f... This is my setup for lazy vibe coding from my phone Laziness is the goal, this is for fun, not business or personal development. I used it to make “Pac Man With Guns” Taking a break from all discourse on AI and its place in professional coding, it’s really fun to play and prototype games with it. I have limited time and focus, and it’s cool to take half and idea and get a workable thing https://github.com/AdmTal/pac-man-with-guns

I was going through my app subscriptions and realized I was paying $15 for a pretty good workout app, which seemed a bit high to me. As a software engineer who is also well versed in claude code, I realized that I could likely vibecode a very similar app, or even build something more to my liking. I challenged my self to build something roughly equivalent this afternoon. Workflow was: start with a detailed spec from Claude code describing many of the features common in workout apps. Then paste this into lovable to have it build out the initial mvp. Once that was built, I used claude code…

Hi HN! I'm here to share Vibebox (vibebox.app), a little toy app I built to sprinkle joy across your inbox with friendly animal avatars and messages that transform mundane emails into warm, joyful reads. About Vibebox - Transforms your emails with playful visuals and warm messages. - Aims to reduce stress associated with email management. - Promotes positivity within your daily routine. I'd love your feedback! Is this something you'd actually use if it were built out? I'm convinced it's a fun toy app, but a few early beta testers have said it's turning into their favorite way to read email…

Hey folks at HN, I didn’t want to pay $10–$30/month for AI email tools, so my friend and I built a free Chrome extension that works directly inside Gmail. It has the core features you'd expect: - When you open a reply, it drafts a response based on the thread — just hit Tab and send. - As you type, it suggests completions based on context (like autocomplete, but smarter). - Press Shift+Tab to force a suggestion anytime. - You can also give it context with // comments — e.g. // suggest a time on Thursday afternoon — and press Tab to drop in the response. Then hit…

I know vibe coding is controversial. I wanted to give it a try so over the last ~4 weeks I tried vibe coding a blender/houdini inspired node based 3d geneartion app in my spare time. The original goal was to try to generate great looking 3d environments from relatively small data. Most games download megs or gigs of data and that's no good for web based things. If you're an AI skeptic still, maybe seeing more concretely what's possible today might convince you otherwise? I'm not making any claim the code is good, though I'm also not claiming is bad. I had fun giving it a try. I was…
