Hi HN! I’m Alex from Parabola (https://parabola.io). Parabola is a visual programming tool for creating functional data flows that everyone can use. It’s entirely drag-and-drop, handles data sizes much larger than a traditional spreadsheet, calculates everything live, and can run your flows on a schedule of your choosing. I used to work in strategy consulting, doing data analytics for SMBs and Fortune 500 companies. The amount of time wasted on menial tasks was astounding. Things like cleaning data, generating custom reports, creating human workflows to solve shortcomings in third…

Hi HN, I've been working on ThorVG, an open-source vector graphics engine. It started as a lightweight SVG renderer and has gradually evolved into a rendering engine supporting SVG, Lottie, and modern GPU backends. This demo showcases the latest ThorVG 1.1 running entirely in the browser. Try it here: https://thorvg-janitor.vercel.app ThorVG v1.1: https://www.thorvg.org/post/thorvg-v1-1-rising-the-standard

What happens when you ask large language models to recreate famous paintings as simple vector graphics? This gallery shows their attempts to turn artworks into SVG images. What makes this interesting isn’t that GenAI can generate images from prompts - specialized models already do that. It’s how they combine knowledge of art with the ability to write SVG code. The project is inspired by Simon Willison's practice of using this as a creative LLM benchmark. When a new model is released, one of his first tests is whether it can generate a pelican on a bicycle. It also comes with a workshop…

Hey Folks, I am Vivek, one of the Founders at MagicStudio.com As we watched the explosion of creative expression with AI rendered pictures, we also noticed that there has been a struggle in discovering levers that make prompts effective. We believe that people think visually, and in order to get their imagination rendered, they can get substantial help by understanding how AI models “perceive” images. This is an attempt to give “simple” prompt ideas to someone who has a picture as a reference. You can use the prompts in any StableDiffusion class generative tool, including our own…

I know I'm very late to the game but tried to realize Van Gogh's work with AI. Workflow is quite straightforward, generated all the video samples through Automatic1000's Web-UI by leveraging SD1.5 + Motionv3 in AnimateDiff. Rendered everything on my RTX 3080TIM laptop. Took me decent 40 mins for different experiments and generations.

So, I'm learning VIM and made this yesterday, I pretend to increment it as I learn new stuff. You move with HJKL and that's it for now. Don't let the sublimes consume you. http://worms.io/vimwarrior/
