Wanted to check out Golang so built a simple local RSS Digest reader, using any markdown reader as its GUI. I've been using it for the last 4 months and I am quite content with it, especially since my markdown files are synced on all devices, I can consume my daily brew from anywhere and anytime without any FOMO. Hi, folks. As an RSS user, I tried Inoreader and Feedly, then ended up self-hosting a Miniflux instance on my homelab. A few months ago, I moved to another city and had to shut down my homelab for a long time, so I couldn't access my local miniflux. It was quite inconvenient. I decided to self-host my RSS aggregator on a tiny VPS or PaaS such as fly.io. However, Miniflux requires a PostgreSQL database, which may isn't suitable for a tiny VPS instance. Alternative search engines are neat, as are RSS feeds. OpenOrb is a self-hosted app which allows visitors to search over a list of blogs you love. If you put your 10 favourite blogs in there, it'll search just those blogs and not show you any sponsored content or machine-generated garbage (unless... you follow blogs written by machines?) Personal RSS feed readers can usually do this sort of thing, but RSS readers aren’t meant to be shared, so you can think of the search engine as a 'curated feed list as a public service'. Last week I showed prldr.com, a small project I created during my weekends. The immediate thing I learned from the comments was that prldr had to be a RSS reader, which I already had in mind. So after another couple of days programming prldr.com is now a visual rss reader. Hi everyone, I built a tool a few years ago called RSS Lookup(https://www.rsslookup.com/) and recently made a few UI and feed detection updates to it. It's free, and allows you to paste any website URL and it automatically searches for feeds via meta tags, fallback paths, and hardcoded feeds for some popular sites. It's also open-source(https://github.com/mratmeyer/rsslookup), has no ads, and doesn't track any URLs(uses Cloudflare Turnstile for abuse and Plausible for analytics). Max

I got tired of reading clickbait articles and seeing irrelevant ads. So I pulled in a few RSS feeds to create a news digest using OpenAI 4o-mini for summarisation. Appreciate any feedback you'all might have. PS: News-summarisation may have been done to death, but I'm a UI noob, so I'm using this project to learn some.

There's lots of improvements I'd like to make but thought I should get some feedback first to see if anyone's interested in it. The main page just shows the most recent feed items (currently from only the 3 feeds I've added myself), but the idea is that it'll show the most popular items aggregated from all users.
