I built MiniVim, a small and minimal Neovim configuration focused on keeping things simple and readable. The goal was to have a setup that: starts fast uses only essential plugins avoids heavy frameworks remains easy to understand and extend The structure is intentionally small: It’s not meant to compete with full Neovim distributions, but rather serve as a clean base configuration that can be extended gradually. I use it across multiple machines (laptop, WSL, and servers), so reproducibility and simplicity were priorities. Feedback is welcome.

Hello HN! I've found my SQL knowledge to be lacking, so I made a project that uses SQLite as a backend. As it is intended for self-hosting I aim to make it easy to set up and maintain. Getting it up & running takes no more than a few commands (bar setting up a proxy such as nginx, which is out of scope). We create minimalistic and secure container base images. All images only contain the relevant package (e.g. python) and its dependencies. We even created our own Linux distro, called MinimOS, to be in control of all packages and build a new version as soon as it is available upstream. As opposed to Alpine Linux we mostly use glibc. Images are re-built daily and we continuously add more of them. By using our base images you can easily reduce the number of vulnerabilities by more than 90% (compared to Docker Hub).
