So I made Ambi, a small iOS app with a clean interface and a set of freely available ambient sounds — rain, waves, wind, birds, that sort of thing. You can mix them, adjust volume levels, and just let it play all night or while you work. Everything works offline and there are no hidden catches. It’s something I built for myself first, but I figured others might…

Hello HN! As a long term NYC resident, I have read countless articles on ideas tweaking subway services, but always found them hard to follow without visual aid. So over the long weekend I decided to build one. It has all the basic features: trains would spawn at their origin, stop at stations, and slow down if it gets too close to another. You can also design custom routes by piecing tracks together. Have fun, and let me know what you think!

MacYaps▲88Hello HN! After having fun with SlapMac a few weeks ago, I wanted to take the idea further — so I built MacYaps, a menu bar app that makes your Mac talk back with funny sounds (or serious if you wish) for real events like low battery, WiFi drops, charger status changes, high CPU, and USB connections (more triggers to come). Multiple voice packs + full custom sound support included. Short demo found here: https://macyaps.com/demo. Would genuinely appreciate any feedback. Or let me know if you'd like any other triggers in the app. Discount Code: `HACKERNEWS` to get it for $4.49…

Hi all! I'm a 17-year old self-taught developer just starting to tap into the mobile world! :3 This summer, I've worked on a minimalist distance-based alarm clock app that wakes you up before you miss your stop!
