The book page links to a blog post that explains how I got about it (and has a link to sample content), but the TL&DR is that I could not find a lot of books that were on "our" history _and_ were larded with technical details. I recently spent a week to build this website that gathers most Programming Languages that exist. It is meant to be a place where you can find programming languages specific to your needs. One thing I'd like to add is the relative performance between all of those languages, to have a "Performance" or "Speed" filter. But benchmarks for so many languages is not easy to find. Codigo is a site I've built for discovering, exploring and comparing programming languages, including language news, trends and code examples. I couldn't find any definitive resource for finding new languages and comparing them, so decided to make one. hi hn, today I'm open sourcing a new SQL-like query language that's built for the web. it has dedicated syntax for request, parsers, selectors, and javascript snippets... it was built on nodejs with the incredible moo lexer and nearley parser. if you're a fan of regular expressions, do I have some code to show you! the website is mostly just a few examples and a playground where you can write & run (& share!) your own queries. there's also an introductory blog post where i try but ultimately fail to justify why this should be its own language and not a library/framework. enjoy!

I'm a multilingual reader (Catalan/Spanish/English/Italian), and I kept hitting the same wall: I'd hear about a book and have no way to know if it existed in my language. Turns out this is a genuinely unsolved problem. There's no single database that tracks which books have been translated into which languages. ISBN registries are fragmented by country.
