I want to introduce Nextflick to you, a website I made showing you a random movie trailer, so you can find out what to watch next. Technically, Nextflick is a rather simple website. I’ve been working on a social media web app for reviewing works of entertainment with the hopes to compete against Goodreads and Letterboxd. It’s a Wordle-like mechanic: You get 6 frames. Frame 1 is obscure (lighting, composition detail). Frame 6 is the main scene. Tech Stack: Next.js + Firebase. I spent the last week optimizing the performance. It currently hits 100 on Speed Insights and serves as a fully installable PWA. No ads, no sign-up wall.
