Free KTX viewer
After repeated attempts to find an easy/quick way to view KTX files across different platforms, I gave up and built my own. Currently only KTX1 supported for 2D textures and cubemaps. I'll probably add support for KTX2 and mipmaps soon. Everything is done locally so no data leaves your browser.
Free KTX viewer launched on June 13, 2025 with 10 votes, #2,717 of 7,999 launches that month and more than 50% of that year's launches. The site was still online in September 2026, 1 year on.
What it does

View KTX and KTX2 texture files online in your browser. Files stay on your device. Expanded KTX2 support is now available, including Basis Universal, Zstandard, ZLIB, uncompressed textures, BC1–BC7, ETC/EAC, and KTX2 ASTC software decoding. Other GPU-compressed formats depend on browser support. Some packed formats and color spaces are not yet supported. The viewer requires WebGL2 and WebAssembly. KTX (Khronos Texture) is a lightweight file format for OpenGL and Vulkan textures developed by the Khronos Group. 3D Viewer for Google DriveJan 2026 · 3dviewer.co · ▲91I use a ton of 3D Files as I love 3D printing in my spare time and I usually exchange them over Gmail and store them in Google Drive etc.. Google does not have a 3D Preview of files so I've built a small Google Workspace Addon that opens the file into a clean "Google like" web app that supports most files. Other solutions existed but they were full of ads and looking absolutely terrible. It got a bit of traction (around 400 users) on the store so thought I would share it here! I was the main contributor to workout.lol, an open-source fitness app to easily build a workout routine. The project had traction (1.4k GitHub stars, 95 forks, ~20K visits/month), but was eventually sold due to video licensing hurdles. The new owner stopped maintaining it, and the repo went abandoned.
