In the maker’s words, at launch

Hey there -- thought I'd show this simple app off. I'm bad at rails/html/css/js but made a Rick Roll generator in just under a day with rails! It's kind of incredible how relevant the rick roll still is after ~15 years. Any generated Links Dynamically make opengraph tags to disguise themselves as…

My first Rails app, LinkRawr, Twitter-esque way to find cool links2011 · linkrawr.heroku.com · ▲5

I'm getting my feet wet in programming again and wanted to learn Rails. So I followed railstutorial.org (you'll recognize the similarity if you've gone through it yourself) and changed a few fields around and created LinkRawr, a simple site to find and share links. It's here: http://linkrawr.heroku.com It works like Twitter, you follow others' links and people follow your links. You can follow me here: http://linkrawr.heroku.com/Justin I created this over the past couple of days and I'm a relative newbie when it comes to programming, so it's far from a polished project, but I thought I'd…

  I made a realistic fake tweet generator that's easy to use2024 · snowball.club · ▲5

Hi HN, I created a (realistic) fake tweet generator to make my mum believe I'm successful until I get there for real haha. Now I can proudly (not) show her Elon endorsed my SaaS! It's 100% free to use and I tried to make it as realistic as possible while being easy to use. There are already existing similar tools but I could not find one that automatically pre-fills data from a twitter username and that handles business accounts (square picture/gold badge/company picture) so I built it. I would love to hear your feedback or suggestions!

  My new link sharing site2011 · this.isby.us · ▲5

Link: http://this.isby.us/ I've been working on this on and off for a few weeks as part of an apprenticeship program with a Rails shop. I was given the opportunity to create a 'toy' app to learn more about Rails development. The basic idea is this: If you know people you often share links with, you can create a 'bin' on the site, and share that bin with others. Then, you and your friends can all add and view links that you find interesting. My goal was to make this happen as simply as possible, so there are no user accounts, and there is a bookmarklet for adding links without having to go…

  Pornpen.ai – AI-Generated Porn▲711

Hey HN, I've been working on https://pornpen.ai, a site for generating adult images. Please only visit the site if you are 18+ and willing to look at NSFW images. This site is an experiment using newer text-to-image models. I explicitly removed the ability to specify custom text to avoid harmful imagery from being generated. New tags will be added once the prompt-engineering algorithm is fine-tuned further. If the servers are overloaded, take a look at the feed and search pages to look through past results.
