What it does
Did you know that the average person spends 5 days per year scrolling as they look for something to stream? We're ScreenGeni.us and are here to help. Think of us as a personalized AI assistant to help decide what to watch across different streaming platforms.
Models generate intelligence. ScreenGeni.us turns intelligence into discovery. The last mile between foundation AI and the media consumer.
Foundation models are getting better, cheaper, and harder to tell apart. That is a tailwind. As intelligence commoditizes, value moves to the layer that turns it into outcomes: integration, orchestration, and the surface a consumer actually touches. ScreenGeni.us is the last mile between foundation AI and the media consumer. Everyone rents the same intelligence. What follows is what we own. Six points. Each one is architecture. The engine treats foundation models as interchangeable suppliers, routed per task and swapped without re-architecture. When better models ship, our costs fall and our results improve. Semantic retrieval runs over a knowledge graph in which every node is backed by its…from screengeni.us

WatchNow AI 2.02023 · watchnowai.com · ▲99There we were, like every other Friday night. I was finishing my glass of wine while pushing away my plate, and out pops the dreaded question. “What should we watch tonight?” She asks. I saw it coming. In fact, I always see it coming. Do I have an answer? Never. But I know how our night will go. We'll sit on the couch, open up the first streaming app, and start the dreaded doom scroll. “This one?” I'd ask. “No, we already watched it.” “How about this?” “I’m not into it.” And so it goes through the apps one by one until we run out of time and settle for a re-run of Sex and the City or The…

What To WatchMay 2026 · whattowatch.fyi · ▲6I kept running into the same problem: trying to find something new to watch, opening multiple streaming apps, and Googling titles one by one because the apps don't tell you if something is actually worth watching. So I built What to Watch, which aggregates content across major streaming services and reduces discovery to a simple Watch or Skip decision using IMDb and community ratings. I hadn’t written code since high school — this was built over ~400 iterations using Claude and Replit. Still very early and mostly trying to learn how people actually decide what to watch and how broad this use…

- MIMovieagent.io – An agent for movie recommendations (with couple mode)Jan 2026 · movieagent.io · ▲25
Most Friday nights and weekends, my wife and I would spend 30+ minutes scrolling Netflix, vetoing each other's movie suggestions. The intersection of our tastes is pretty small. She's into rom coms and the occasional thriller, and couldn't care less about ratings. I gravitate toward critically acclaimed stuff and 3h+ sagas. Eventually, we would settle on something neither of us really wanted, or a comfort TV show. So, I built movieagent.io to help us. It's an agent that finds what you're in the mood for tonight. The agent plays the role of an arbiter, and does its best to try and bridge the…

I was at FB/Meta from late 2013 to early 2023, mostly working in the compiler/runtime spaces. I got hit in the spring 2023 layoff wave. I immediately started making games in my newfound free time (a lifelong interest, and I even worked in AA(A?) back ca. ~2000), and in October 2023 I stumbled upon the idea of a roguelike pachinko/plinko game inspired by Luck Be A Landlord. Things snowballed quickly, I started talking to publishers, then worked like crazy through all of 2024, almost the hardest I've ever worked in my career, and launched the game in December 2024. It's sold…

i wanted to change the habit of reaching for my phone in the morning and doomscrolling away an hour so i built an app to help me. now i have to literally touch grass before accessing my most distracting apps the app is built in swiftui, uses the screen time apis provided by apple and google vision to recognise grass or not i'd love to get your thoughts on the concept.
