Hi all, about a month ago my wife was complaining about how annoying all of the photo sharing services were. Either the UI was overly complicated or it would ask people to register for the service before they could view the photos, etc. So I decided to build something dead-simple that she could use. There are no frills. You just create an album and email it around. The link goes directly to the photos. Hello Hacker News! In the past few weeks I've been working on a side project that allows you to post anonymously a short message and a photo that is tied to your location. Other people can see posts around them in a radius of 1 kilometer. Posts are ephemeral and disappear after one day. That's all. I've always wanted to follow podcast guests across shows, not subscribe to entire podcasts. Most of the time the podcasts host guests which I don't really care about. When a guest you follow appears on a random podcast, they will appear as a new entry in the rss-feed for that particular guest. Hopefully some here will find that useful :D

So I just did my semi-annual "log in to Twitter to see if it's any good yet", and found that in my absence I had followed a few thousand new spam accounts. Sweet. In the last few weeks I've been working on a RSS application designed to be used in e-ink devices such as Kindle, through the device's web browser. It's a self-hostable app optimized for running on low-end hardware (such as Raspberry Pi, I actually run it on a 3b model). The project is in its early stages of development. As a personal need I have been working on building this over the last year.
