Hello Hacker News! Long time reader but first time poster here... Recently I've been diving into doing mods for Cities: Skylines 2, which been very interesting as it's one of the first games that is using ECS and that I also have a deep interest into. I've mainly used ECS via Bevy before, but this time it's Unity, but many things still work the same way. In order to help myself and other modders to navigate the ECS Systems and Components from the decompiled code, I created this interactive D3 graph. You can click on nodes to "navigate" to that system/component, and once you're zoomed in…

Modd.io is a collaborative game editor that runs in browser. It's kind of like Figma for game dev. We made this engine low-code and multiplayer-first, so developeres can quickly prototype casual multiplayer games. I hope some of you guys will find this useful. Would love to hear feedback also. Thank you. Engine Demo: https://www.modd.io

If there are any Helldivers 2 players who are missing the option to build and share team comps/loadouts with their friends, hopefully you will find the tool helpful!

This is something that I've been working on on-and-off in my spare time for the last few years. I started in 2020 during Covid trying to do a Mount and Blade style map in UE4, and it grew from there until where it is now - I would just add a feature, then another, until it came together. Since the start of the year I've really been trying to polish it some more. I've got the full thing planned for a Q3 25 release. Hey! I'm eshaan and I'm building Ourguide -an on-screen task guidance system that can show you where to click step-by-step when you need help. I started building this because whenever I didn’t know how to do something on my computer, I found myself constantly tabbing between chatbots and the app, pasting screenshots, and asking “what do I do next?” Ourguide solves this with two modes. In Guide mode, the app overlays your screen and highlights the specific element to click next, eliminating the need to leave your current window. There is also Ask mode, which is a vision-integrated chat that…

I'll start by copying the comment I left on the Reddit post where I originally shared this project and then go into some more detail for this audience. (https://www.reddit.com/r/nes/comments/1umrnd5/i_made_an_inte...) """ Castlevania II has always held a special place in my heart. I didn’t own it myself as a kid but I had a family member who did. This meant that I only got a few chances to actually play it, but that left a big impression on me anyway. I recently beat it for the first time and along the way I decided I wanted to build the most over-the-top…

So, me (dev) and my friend (designer) have been building a website/mobile app to help users manage their game library (think MyAnimeList, but games) for a little over a year. We launched with a very basic set of features, and have been slowing expanding since then. All the code is open source, and most of the things we implemented were direct feedback from users (e.g. being able to import games from Steam/PSN, and the Posts feature). We don't show ads or have any kind of subscription. This is just a hobby project. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated, as honestly the hardest…
