24 alternatives to ts-remove-unused – Remove unused code from your TypeScript project

ts-remove-unused is a command line tool for TypeScript projects that auto-fixes unused `export`s. It removes the export keyword from the declaration or the whole declaration based on its usage in the project. There are some similar tools but they are focused on "detecting" rather than "removing" so I've built one myself. I wanted a solution that's as minimal as possible; config files to specify the files in your project shouldn't be necessary because that info should be already configured in tsconfig.json. All you need to do is to specify your entrypoint file. Feedback is much appreciated!

Hey HN, I’m sharing ts-chan, an NPM package providing Go-like concurrency primitives, including channels and select statements, for TypeScript and JavaScript, supporting Node.js, Deno, Bun, and browsers. This is something I've built to make implementing Go-style "control loops" feasible in JavaScript, but there are many possible applications. Highlights: - Features a FIFO processing Chan class and versatile Select class for concurrency control. - Supports buffered channel and channel close semantics very close to Go's. - TypeScript-first implementation. - Defines a simple "channel protocol"…

Hi HN - Peter from DBOS here with my co-founder Qian (qianl_cs) Today we want to share our TypeScript library for lightweight durable execution. We’ve been working on it since last year and recently released v2.0 with a ton of new features and major API overhaul. https://github.com/dbos-inc/dbos-transact-ts Durable execution means persisting the execution state of your program while it runs, so if it is ever interrupted or crashes, it automatically resumes from where it left off. Durable execution is useful for a lot of things: - Orchestrating long-running or…

TL;DR Gatehouse-TS is a zero-dependencies authorization policy library written in TypeScript, ported from Rust. It allows you to combine different access control policies to check before allowing someone to access a resource. A few weeks ago, I saw a post on HN about Gatehouse, an authorization library written in Rust. Here's the original HN thread: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=43466221 I looked at their GitHub page, and started reading the source code. I do this for anything posted here that catches my attention, even if it's written in a language I don't understand.…

i18next released a new version of a new selector API that lets you pass a selector function to t instead of a string key: // before i18next.t('my.nested.key') // after i18next.t($ => $.my.nested.key) The change unlocks IDE autocompletion and “go to definition”, preserves JSDoc from your resource files at the call site, and — critically — removes the huge type-level unions that used to grind TypeScript/IDEs to a halt. See the announcement and examples. The selector support has landed in i18next (PR merged) and react-i18next has matching typings/changes. If you…
