Bonsai
Lower your screen time with the help of a friend
What it does
Screen time addiction is a crippling problem that has taken control of younger generations over the last decade. We have a solution. Bonsai features a social accountability system where users can seek help from a friend in sticking to their screen time goals. Here’s how it works: 1. Download the app and invite an Accountability Partner. 2. Set daily limits for apps you want monitored. 3. Once you reach your limit, to receive more time you must request it from your accountability partner

We're Oliver and Royce and we're the founders of Clearspace. We build tools to help people reduce their screen time (here’s us two years ago: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=35888644) We get all kinds of requests from users for ways they'd like to use their screen time data. - “Auto-donate $x to charity every time I exceed a limit or try to bypass it” - “My 75 Hard group has a screen time requirement, can we set up group visibility?” - “Let my personal agent know if it’s a good time to tackle things on my todo list” - “Auto-report large deviations in my screen time to my…

The same H100 rents at a 2x spread depending on who’s asking, and once you sign a 24-month lease, it can never change hands. So we built a market for GPU nodes, sold by the calendar week. Here are three things you can do on it that you can’t do anywhere else: - Buy exactly the weeks you need. Three nodes for the last…

Hey HN! I wanted to share something I built over the last few weeks: isometric.nyc is a massive isometric pixel art map of NYC, built with nano banana and coding agents. I didn't write a single line of code. Of course no-code doesn't mean no-engineering. This project took a lot more manual labor than I'd hoped! I wrote a deep dive on the workflow and some thoughts about the future of AI coding and creativity: http://cannoneyed.com/projects/isometric-nyc
