Products that do what Bin collection calendars for the entire UK does

Hi HN, I built ukbinday to provide a nicer way to find your bin collection days and actually remember when to put them out. It shows your upcoming collections and generates a calendar that updates automatically as the schedule comes out. Coverage is at about 85% of the UK so far and I'm working on getting that to 100%. There is also an API for the Home Automation community. This was built on top of two amazing open-source projects without which this would not exist: https://github.com/robbrad/UKBinCollectionData &…

Previously I told HN about the beta for TimeSnapper on Mac and many of you signed up and contributed feedback and suggestions during the beta, or responded with helpful comments in that thread[1]. TimeSnapper is now available in the Mac App Store, here: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/timesnapper/id1456327684?mt=12 Thank you very much to the 'Show HN' readers who helped us get here today. For years I've used paper and a printed clock to organise my day. Found it way better than any list or timeline app. Played around a bit and made a digital clone to speed things up: Reassign.app (best experience is on desktop) Anyone else think of their day as a circle rather than a list? edit: it also has MCP integration (https://reassign.app/api/mcp) — my Claude already connects to Linear and Calendar, so I use it to start and plan my day. I can quickly get a skeleton of a day out and then polish until done.

This is my first web app, so there are bound be to be a few kinks that need to be worked out. That's why it's here, in hopes that some of the awesome people I read about on HN can take a minute to offer some criticism. http://dailydo.it/ DailyDo.it is meant to replace the canonical to-do list with a do-it list – a list of things that you will actually do. My monetization plan is based on team do-it lists, where you can see your teammates' do-it lists and assign them tasks, while keeping the individual do-it lists totally free. Please let me know if you find any bugs, what the pain points…

Hello HN. We were occasionally running into issues where our scheduled tasks would not start when expected. There were many reasons for this (environment changes, lock files not being cleaned up properly, etc). So, we created a simple application to monitor our scheduled tasks, and notify us if they didn't start or finish when expected. Now we're notified immediately (via email or SMS) when a scheduled task isn't kicked off when it is supposed to. The app also keeps track of the run times for past task executions, which has been useful in tracking down unexpected changes in task run times.…

Hey HN. I've just launched my very first webappp and would love your feedback. http://www.7bks.com It's a book list sharing website - kind of like playlists for bookworms. The site is built on pyton/appengine - and I learned to code in under 4 weeks to build the site. There's more details on the background of the site here: http://www.7bks.com/blog/179001 I've also published the full Python code for the site here: https://gist.github.com/670034 Feedback is really important to me and I want to work hard to make the site better so any and all suggestions are greatly appreciated. Hi, This is my new project (https://www.timepike.com/) which tries to solve basic problem of most small agencies: tracking working hours and holidays of employees and generating invoices for clients. I know that there are many similar solutions out there. Still, I haven't found one solving this problem in really clean, intuitive and super helpful way (for employer as much as for employees). That's why I decided to build one. Any feedback is really highly appreciated! Cheers, Wiktor
