We run a few server side batches daily to extract data from various government sources before linking it all together in (what is now) a fairly large database. We're also using this project as a way to test out a new JS UI library we built (similar to Vue, but a bit faster) to see how it stands up in a real project. Based on the multiple "Who's hiring remotely?" and similar posts on HN, I thought it might be useful to have a site that aggregates remote programming jobs. There is way too much spam out and an inconsistent way to say "work from home" so traditional searching doesn't work (or rather, takes a long time per person). This is a combination of Show/Ask HN. I've been working on my side project, BitHub.com, for several years now. The issue is that on the revenue side there’s a big fat zero and I'm kinda lost to where to go from here. I'd love to keep the project going, but it obviously needs a new perspective and some novel ideas. Hey any astrophysicist reading hn there? Was sick in august (yeah isn't that nice) and made a small python fits table viewer for the terminal with textual.
