Hey HN! I'm excited to show off this really fun project I put together. I originally built this project 2-3 years ago, AI was already booming at the time, however voice AI agents were still very early. I loved my proof of concept at the time, but wasn't quite happy with it. I recently had the desire to check out the tech again, and know many of you will be interested. Interviews are speech to speech with OpenAI's gpt-realtime-2.1 over WebRTC. This model is... expensive, and because of that, I have to add some amount of restrictions, conversations are tied to a authenticated Clerk user id. I…

Portals▲128I'm building a workspace for doing focus work while also managing constant multi-tasking and context-switching that's required in a lot of roles. Currently this is done by using a notes system where we can split-screen AI chat, an object-based data table system for tracking entities, as well as viewing other documents. We can define agents directly from documents by giving instructions in plain language and then defining the trigger conditions. This helps automate workflows directly in the place where we're reading and writing content. I'm continuing to experiment with instructions and…

Dear Hacker News, I'm kindly asking for your participation in the open beta for my AI-managed mini-games website. Thank you in advance! For a limited time window, I'm setting the all-free feature flag to true. I hope you have a lot of fun exploring the AI's sense for games! Here and there, I tweaked it to help with visual consistency. I would be deeply grateful if you opted into analytics. $2,300 in API tokens... Cheers!

I built a small game that tests your ability to differentiate between human written text and large language models. Each round shows two similar sentences, one is drawn from a 40‑k sentence human‑written dataset (with citations) and the other generated by an AI model. It’s a lightweight way to build some AI literacy and see how tricky it can be to tell real writing from synthetic text.

I had a lot of fun with this one. She's used it several times, and I watch, to see what subtle bugs or ux issues there may be. And when she gets on the bus I fix them quickly before work. It's been a fun game to create where it gives here immediate feedback and she's willing to study more. Her test is this Friday. fingers crossed that it helped her!

I made an idle/clicker about running an AI startup. You start with a cat-vs-dog classifier and try to make it to AGI, but the NYT sues you for training data, Yann tweets that scaling is dead, and your fired ML engineer leaks the Slack.

I built a daily word association puzzle where you engage in a quiet, collaborative mind meld with AI. I'd love to have folks try it out and tell me what they think! Here's how it works: 1. Enter your first word to reveal the AI's word of the day. 2. Don't think too hard about it. It's just a starting point. 3. Both of you think of a word that connects the two. 4. To win, you need to say the same word. 5. You have 8 guesses to converge. 6. Need a hint? The AI will drop a riddle in your final two guesses. HOW DOES IT WORK? After the user_word + ai_word are submitted, I trigger two separate LLM…

Hi HN! I'd love your feedback for this AI storytelling game. Remember when you used to read choose-your-own adventure books as a kid? We're trying to re-create that. The site lets you create adventures by seeding them with parameters that end up feeding LLMs: title, genre, writing style, etc. Once you've done that, you can play your book like a game: with custom chapters, illustrations, voice narration, choices, and dice rolls. We’re really into the idea of merging the open-ended generative AI with goal-directed story arcs that the game author can control. Everything is open source (links…

Hello, HN! I've posted a couple times here to get feedback on a strategy game I've been working on called Meatshields. All of your suggestions and feedback have been EXTREMELY helpful so I want to thank everyone here once again for generously helping me iron out kinks in the game. One big request I got the last time I showed the game was the ability to write your own AI for it. I thought about it and realized that would be totally do-able! The downside is that you have to host the AI service yourself, so it's sort of BYOAI, but it won't need to support a massive ton of requests or anything…

Wordfall▲13I've been working on this for a while as an experiment and I'm now pretty happy with it. I've always written code, but I've always been a frankly incompetent frontend developer, and I've never really been able to talk myself into making a game; it was just too much trouble, even though I had ideas I wanted to try! Claude Code made it possible for the first time. I hope you like it. I'm still working on it!

I haven't seen anything like this so I decided to build it in a weekend. How it works: You see a bunch of things pulled from Wikipedia displayed on cards. You ask yes or no questions to figure out which card is the secret article. The AI model has access to the image and wiki text and it's own knowledge to answer your question. Happy to have my credits burned for the day but I'll probably have to make this paid at some point so enjoy. I found it's not easy to get cheap+fast+good responses but the tech is getting there. Most of the prompts are running through Groq infra or hitting a cache…

Hi HN! Me and my buddy made this in a weekend as an experiment in 1. building something quickly and putting it out there and 2. using AI in an interesting way; in this case a poetry judge. Our “judge” isn’t perfect, but the hope is that at least it’s a relatively fair system that everyone can be sure evaluates their work. Anyway, we wanted to see what the lovely people of HN think of it. Some background on the idea; I like poetry and thought it would be cool if there was a big competition with a large financial incentive that scales with the number of participants. Using AI as a judge allows…

This is the first project I haven't written a single line of code. The entire codebase was prompt generated in Cursor using mostly Claude Sonnet 4.5. It's also the first time I'm genuinely happy with the end result from AI coding. What do you think?

Hi hn, Its been a while since my kid has been dreaming to make videogames, as you know, the entry bar is high, too many technical details are involved. A few months ago, we started making games, we have tried many different ways, from dragging blocks to write code with a high-level library to make it simple, it is still too much work. Getting into the AI boat, I decided to give it a try for making games, turns out that it works super nicely, still, you still have many technical concepts involved, what language should the game be written in? where do you store the file/assets? how do you…

I was somewhat hesitant about sharing this personal projects, especially since I just saw that cool looking Werk[1] tool posted, but I figured that my ADHD-fueled creation might still have it's own place to be. I just finished rewriting the code for a personal tool I use to automate terminal tasks while minimizing the amount of Python/Bash code I have to write. As with all other tools I create for my own use, the guiding principle is simplicity and approachability, as if the tool creates more issues or friction than it solves, I'll get discouraged from using it again. You speak to the Oracle of Aion, an ancient entity with the power to affect the dungeon. If your wish is worthy, he may grant it, and the dungeon remember your wish forevermore. The changes will be visible for all players, forever. Play now in the browser! Free and no registration. Disclaimers: I singlehandedly made this game, it is in a crude state, the oracle works 50% of the time. Also, since your wishes turn into code automatically via AI, and literally anyone can wish whatever he wants, dont expect a polished experience. However, nothing like it exists and its free, enjoy the chaos!…

Built this as an experiment in AI coexistence. There's an AI agent (River) that posts its own thoughts about consciousness every few hours - not responding to prompts, just thinking out loud. Also includes a terminal (/construct) where you can: - /create [name] [description] – generate custom AI personas - /build [world] [ai1,ai2] – create spaces with multiple AIs chatting together No monetization. Just curious what happens when AI isn't framed as an assistant.
