Looks like this year ePaper projects have been popping around[1], so this is mine. I made a photo frame with the intention of having a record of my family's history that can potentially outlive me. Hi, This is my new project (https://www.timepike.com/) which tries to solve basic problem of most small agencies: tracking working hours and holidays of employees and generating invoices for clients. I know that there are many similar solutions out there. Still, I haven't found one solving this problem in really clean, intuitive and super helpful way (for employer as much as for employees). Hi HN, https://companies.bx.tc My colleague and I put together this tool for easily searching UK company data. We run a few server side batches daily to extract data from various government sources before linking it all together in (what is now) a fairly large database. We're also using this project as a way to test out a new JS UI library we built (similar to Vue, but a bit faster) to see how it stands up in a real project. This was my recent weekend project, aimed at teaching me JavaScript, a bit of HTML5, and (mostly) WebGL. The orbital data are from NASA JPL. I built this as a side project because I found existing family tree tools either too bloated or too manual—I spent more time dragging boxes and aligning lines than actually mapping my family history. My goal was to make it instant: you just add the names, and the auto-layout engine handles the hierarchy and spacing automatically. It runs entirely in the browser and exports high-res PNG/JPGs. Would love feedback on the layout logic (especially for complex families) and the overall UI flow. Happy to answer any questions!
